IMO is the professional body representing doctors in Ireland. The Irish Medical Organisation was formed in 1984 following the amalgamation of the Irish Medical Association and the Irish Medical Union, to act as the national representative medical organisation linking all branches of the medical profession In Ireland. The mission of the Organisation is to improve the practice of medicine and the working conditions of doctors and be committed to developing a caring, efficient and effective medical service in Ireland.
